Alfred checks your manuscript against documents on the platform, open-access research databases, and the public web. Public matches carry a link so you can verify them; another researcher’s private document is shown by name only and never reproduced.
Similarity scoring
Each match includes a similarity score, so you can quickly identify which passages need the most attention. The overall report score gives you a quick read on where you stand.
Graded the way your institution grades it
Every report shows the UGC 2018 level alongside the percentage, calculated after quotes and the bibliography are excluded. Alfred flags runs of 8 shared words where the regulations allow ignoring 14, so the figure is deliberately conservative and the report says so.
